City of Guilds

The City of Guilds is a massive metropolis, second in size only to Everpeace. Buildings of all shapes and sizes dot the landscape, colorful banners fly high from each one denoting which guild it belongs to. Floating above the city are earthmotes, chunks of land that have been made to float by magic, supporting even more buildings. Large roads wind their way through the entire city and its multiple large markets. If you can think of a reason to have a guild, you can find that guild in this city. To date, their are over 350 guilds registered in the city of guilds, everything from bakers guild, necromancers guild, to the janitors guild. The nature of the City of Guilds naturally attracts all sorts of merchants, adventurers and those looking for work, as there is always a guild in need of assistance. The city is run by a council of guilds, 2 major guilds (meaning with more than 500 members), 2 medium guilds (more than 250 members), 2 minor guilds(less that 250 members), and the City Guild. The City Guild is in charge of keeping the peace, settling disagreements and providing a competent police force. The City Guild is held in the highest esteem as the residents of the City of Guilds fully believe that without them the city would fall into chaos.
