Spinesnap Mountains

Stretching from far to the north all the way down to the Flaying Desert the Spinesnap mountains, once littered with great earthkin cities, now finds itself full of ruins. To the north lies a massive valley called the Dragons Gullet, once home to ancient dragons who it is said mixed their bloodline with humans in arcane experiments and gave birth to the dragonborn race. The great city of Swarol now rests in the Dragons Gullet and is home to the dragonborn of Tsaer’lywn. A booming population since the Time of Tears has seen to dragonborn settlements being created in the outlying areas of Swarol, a few of which have become good sized towns. Towards the south end of the Spinesnap Mountains lies Khur’den, a massive and beautiful city built into the side a mountain that is the capital of dwarves and gnomes alike. Destroyed fortresses and cities can be found scattered all through the Spinesnap Mountains, scars created during The Great Shame, many of which are now home to monsters and squatters. Just north of Khur’den lies a large valley quite heavily forested, where a gnome company has made its headquarters. It is out of the way so any expierements that run afoul should not endanger Khur’den but also close enough to get supplies and aid from the capital. Warnings from both the headquarters and capital not to traverse the area around the headquarters are given to any travelers as not all of which is created by the gnomes is able to be kept under control. Escaped creations that escape are uncommon but very dangerous and have been known to terrorize the country side until destroyed.
